These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of English Book Reader AI & Learn (the “App”), provided by NgheRo.Vn (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The App helps you read English books and documents, listen with text-to-speech, translate sentences, and learn vocabulary, phrases, and grammar from the content you choose.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you use the App on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Your Content
You are responsible for the books, documents, text, notes, scans, photos, saved learning cards, and other content you import, paste, write, store, read, listen to, analyze, or send to support in the App (“User Content”).
You represent that you have the rights or permission needed to use your User Content in the App. You agree not to use the App to import, store, process, analyze, or distribute content that violates laws, infringes intellectual property rights, violates privacy rights, or breaches any agreement that applies to you.
We do not claim ownership of your User Content. The App stores your library content and reading data locally where possible. You are responsible for backing up any content you want to keep.
App Features
The App may include features for:
- importing PDFs, pasted text, scans, photos, and notes;
- extracting readable text from documents, including text recognition (OCR) for scanned pages or photos;
- reading and listening with text-to-speech voices;
- following along with sentence highlighting and word-by-word highlighting where available;
- translating sentences into your native language;
- explaining English words, phrases, and grammar in context;
- saving vocabulary, phrases, and grammar points for later review;
- storing reading progress, marks, playback state, language settings, learning level, and preferences;
- downloading additional voice or model files on demand;
- caching generated audio on your device;
- contacting support from within the App and receiving notifications you allow;
- starting a free trial, subscribing, or restoring paid access.
Some documents may not work correctly, including scanned or low-quality image-only files, corrupted files, encrypted files, unsupported file formats, documents with extraction restrictions, or content with unusual formatting. OCR, text extraction, translation, vocabulary analysis, grammar explanation, highlighting, and text-to-speech output may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. Voice quality and processing speed vary by device, language, file type, and voice.
Some reading and voice features work offline after required models are installed. AI vocabulary, phrase, grammar, dictionary, and translation features require an internet connection and backend access.
We may change, suspend, remove, limit, or improve App features at any time.
Free Trial, Paid Features, Purchases, and Subscriptions
The App can be used without a purchase. Reading and listening may be available for free, subject to technical availability and any limits shown in the App.
The App may offer a free trial for AI vocabulary, phrase, grammar, and translation analysis. The current free trial lasts 7 days and covers up to the first 1,000 words of each book. The App displays the active trial terms before or during use. When the trial ends or the free per-book limit is reached, reading and listening may continue, but additional AI learning analysis may require a paid plan.
Paid access is offered through subscriptions shown in the App. Current plans are monthly, 3-month, and 6-month auto-renewable subscriptions. The App does not offer a one-time or lifetime purchase. Available plans, prices, billing periods, trial availability, feature availability, limits, and product identifiers may vary by country, platform, store, and time.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Your purchase is subject to the store terms, payment rules, refund rules, and subscription management tools of the platform where you purchased. The price and billing period of each option are shown in the App before you buy and are charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
For auto-renewable subscriptions:
- subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, according to Apple App Store or Google Play rules;
- your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period;
- you can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account settings;
- deleting the App does not automatically cancel your subscription.
You can restore previous purchases from the paywall using “Restore purchase” where available. We rely on Apple, Google, and our backend systems to validate purchases and restore entitlements. If purchase validation fails because of network, platform, account, or technical issues, access to paid features may be delayed until validation succeeds.
We may change which features and limits apply to free access, free trials, and paid plans over time, subject to applicable platform rules and law.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the App for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive purposes;
- infringe or violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- upload, import, scan, process, or share malicious files or code;
- use AI learning or translation features to process content you do not have permission to use;
- reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or attempt to extract source code except where allowed by law;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with purchase validation, entitlement checks, access controls, security, trials, quotas, or usage limits;
- use automated systems to abuse, overload, disrupt, scrape, or probe our services;
- misrepresent your identity or relationship with us;
- use the App in a way that creates legal, security, or operational risk for us or other users.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, branding, graphics, text, features, learning flows, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal or internal learning and reading purposes on devices you own or control, according to applicable app store rules.
No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App, including document processing, AI vocabulary and translation requests, purchase validation, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and support messages. By using the App, you also agree to our Privacy Policy:

Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party platforms and services, including Apple App Store, Google Play, Firebase, Apple Push Notification service, GitHub or other file-hosting services, AI or cloud infrastructure providers used by our backend, operating-system services, and open-source libraries. These third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, platform outages, store decisions, account restrictions, payment processing, model download availability, or changes made by Apple, Google, or other third parties.
Learning, Translation, and AI Output
Vocabulary explanations, translations, grammar notes, reading assistance, and other AI-generated or automated output are provided for learning convenience. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them. The App is not a substitute for professional translation, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, academic assessment, or other professional services.
Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant that:
- the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times;
- text extraction, OCR, text-to-speech, highlighting, translation, vocabulary analysis, grammar explanation, or playback will be accurate or complete;
- all files, languages, voices, models, features, or formats will be supported;
- AI learning analysis will always be available or suitable for every book;
- the App will meet your specific requirements or learning goals.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, revenue, goodwill, learning progress, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the App or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or paid features during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or paid features if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, interfere with purchase validation or quotas, create legal risk, or if we discontinue the App or relevant services.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute-related provisions.
Changes to the App or Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where required.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise.
Apple App Store Additional Terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply and take precedence over any conflicting terms in this document:
- This license agreement is concluded between you and NgheRo.Vn only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). NgheRo.Vn, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the App to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, any claim that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights.
- You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
